# Receiving SMS from External User

When the external user sends SMS or Fax message to the channel, using the channel number, it appears as a message on that channel

* User creates a new message on their phone as normal SMS, use the number of channel as recipient, type in the message and send

* Any user on the channel can respond to that message

* External User will receive the reply on their corresponding device either as SMS or Fax.
