# Sending SMS to External User

OrgChat also provides the capabilities to initiate the communication to external users through SMS or Fax messages.

* Enter the slash command \[/sms] function into the message bar.

* The message will appear as normal message on the chat screen and the message will be delivered to the recipient as SMS message
